For starters, Netscape really hasn't been much to worry about for many years now, but now the news is that Netscape has officially ended development. It was certainly a favorite browser in the nineties, but somehow fell out of favor when Internet Explorer came along. See the article below for more details. Click here for BBC story Here is my favorite quote from the article: Mr Drapeau from AOL stated, "We feel it's the right time to end development of Netscape branded browsers, hand the reins fully to Mozilla and encourage Netscape users to adopt Firefox." I wonder if, in five years, we'll be saying goodbye to any of the other players.
